Commitment Background


What are the public issues that are resolved in this commitment?

The social accountability approach can be implemented in village development programs. Development cadres, village government officials, and communities can be trained to implement the approach. The cadres are expected to facilitate the implementation of social accountability to improve public services in the village.

What is the commitment?

Encouraging the cooperation of various parties to facilitate social accountability approaches at the village level to improve public services in the village.

How will the commitment contribute to solving the public problem?

The cadres are actors who can facilitate communication between the public and the village government in creating a collective, inclusive and democratic village development. Public participation is expected to improve the existing public services because it provides room for feedback on existing services.

Why is this commitment relevant to the Open Government values?

This program is in line with the Open Government values, namely participation and inclusion. Public participation and inclusion are marked by the involvement of cadres who have been assisting health campaigns in inviting mothers to check pregnant women and toddlers` health.

Commitment Alignment with the National Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMN) and SDGs

This program will support Goal 3 in the SDGs, namely a Healthy and Prosperous Life. In addition, this program is also in line with the National Priority Activities in the RPJMN, namely Development of Disadvantaged Regions, Border Areas, Rural Areas, and Transmigration.
